The Virreyes Tower, designed by renowned architect Teodoro González de León, stands as an architectural masterpiece, earning LEED Platinum Certification for its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. Its unique inverted trapezoidal shape and resourceful design has changed the urban landscape and earned it recognition as a finalist for the “Best Skyscraper of the Year” in the 2015 CTBUH Annual Awards.
Daniel Álvarez, the acclaimed architect behind the hotel’s design, brings a touch of cosmopolitan Italian soul to the space, featuring high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, fine woods, rare marbles, and meticulous Italian craftsmanship. Collaborating with Ambia Studio Interior Design, the hotel achieves a warm, harmonious environment with Mexican elements, earth colors, and the calming influence of calcite blue marble.

The Alexander Hotel’s Caviar Bar will be the first of its kind in Mexico City, offering a unique menu that includes Beluga, Osetra Imperial, homemade Tagliolini with black truffle, porcini sauce with fresh shaved seasonal truffle, wagyu filet with creamy mashed potatoes, sauce au poivre and more. The restaurant is the brainchild of the owners, whose culinary adventures took them across the globe, tasting the finest caviars and truffles.
