Chablé Yucatan Kids Club & Farm
(Mérida, Yucatán) January 31, 2025 – Chablé Yucatán, the award-winning luxury resort known for its holistic wellness and cultural immersion, is delighted to announce two exciting new additions tailored for families: the highly anticipated Kids Club and La Granja de Abu (Abu’s Farm), both set to debut in February 2025.
Designed as a sanctuary of creativity, adventure, and education, the Kids Club at Chablé Yucatán takes inspiration from the Mayan myth of the Aluxes, mischievous spirits who protect the land. Elevated pathways weave through the jungle canopy, while whimsical monkey sculptures and immersive play areas bring the natural beauty of the Yucatán to life. Young guests can enjoy a curated schedule of activities, including art classes, indigenous crafts, and science workshops. Outdoor adventures such as scavenger hunts, gardening in traditional Mayan ka’anchés, and splash park fun make for unforgettable experiences. The Kids Club also features a soft play area, a dedicated teen lounge, and evening entertainment such as outdoor movies and astronomy nights. Open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, all activities are complimentary, with the exception of tie-dye workshops.
Complementing this vibrant new offering is La Granja de Abu (Abu’s Farm), a hands-on, interactive space that fosters sustainability and animal welfare education. Families will have the opportunity to engage with resident animals, including ponies, donkeys, goats, and mini pigs, while participating in feeding sessions and care workshops. The farm’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its organic gardening, Melipona bee preservation, and traditional Mayan agricultural techniques.
At the heart of Abu’s Farm is Abu’s Kitchen, an intimate farm-to-table restaurant offering healthy and gourmet cuisine crafted with organic ingredients grown on-site. The restaurant hosts cooking classes for all ages and features a special weekly pizza night, where guests can create their own culinary masterpieces with fresh, locally sourced toppings.
Additionally, La Granja de Abu features a boutique and deli, offering artisanal wooden toys, sustainable clothing, and chef-prepared goods such as jams and sauces. Visitors can also partake in workshops on fermentation, dressings, and other culinary traditions to bring a taste of Chablé home.
Throughout the year, Abu’s Farm will host seasonal events and special experiences, including harvest celebrations, spring festivals, and opportunities for guests to participate in conservation efforts, such as endangered bird releases and regenerative farming programs.
“At Chablé Yucatán, we continuously strive to create meaningful and immersive experiences for our guests,” said Ana Patricia Vazquez, Kids Club Supervisor of Chablé Yucatán. “With the introduction of our Kids Club and La Granja de Abu, families can now explore, learn, and connect with nature in an enriching and unforgettable way.”
With these new additions, Chablé Yucatán solidifies its position as a premier family-friendly luxury retreat, where culture, adventure, and sustainability seamlessly intertwine.

Chablé Yucatán – Mérida, Mexico (yucatan.chablehotels.com/)
In a unique setting in the heart of the jungle just 25 minutes from the historic city of Mérida, Chablé Yucatan is a luxury wellness retreat spread across 750 acres on Mexico’s famed Yucatan Peninsula. Born from the ruins of a historic 19th century Hacienda, the completely restored retreat recalls the elegance and sophistication of the past. Its 40 spacious casitas and villas, each with a private plunge pool, are nestled within lush jungle with a biophilic design intended to blend with the surrounding nature. The retreat’s crowning jewel is its world-class spa, the first-ever created around a private “cenote”, a nature limestone sinkhole held sacred by the Mayans. The spa’s philosophy redefines wellness by offering a wide range of Mayan-Inspired treatments that harness the power of Mérida’s ancestral techniques and herbal ingredients, alongside modern amenities. Chablé’s culinary program is led by one of Mexico’s top chefs, Jorge Vallejo, the mastermind behind México City’s award-winning Quintonil, which has been included on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants lists since 2015. Menus at the two on-site restaurants reflect Mexico’s rich culinary heritage, transformed by modern, innovative preparations that look as incredible as they taste. Most ingredients are either grown on-site – in the Mayan raised gardens, or ka’anches – or sourced from small local producers. In a nod to indulgence and relaxation, Chablé Yucatan showcases the largest private tequila collection in the world with over 3,700 unique bottles on display in stunning crystal cabinets. The resort also features a thatched-roof outdoor kitchen, 9-hole Wellness Golf course and clubhouse, tennis and paddle courts, cigar lounge, wine cellar, fitness center, Melipona bee sanctuary, and Multipurpose center with two conference rooms. In early 2025, Chablé Yucatan will open an expansive kids club and a branded community of luxury private residences. Honored among the World’s 50 Best Hotels for two consecutive years, Chablé Yucatan currently holds the No. 16 spot and was named The Best Hotel in North America in 2024.
