Victoria King Public Relations Announces the Representation of The Point Resort, Saranac Lake, New York
(Saranac Lake, New York) September 10, 2025 – Victoria King Public Relations is pleased to announce the newest addition to its portfolio, The Point Resort. Located on Upper Saranac Lake in New York’s Adirondack region, The Point is set on 75-acres of private wilderness with sweeping views of the lake and forest.
Originally built as a Great Camp for William Avery Rockefeller II in 1932, The Point transitioned into a resort in 1980 and became the first Relais & Châteaux property in North America. Today, it boasts 11 distinct guestrooms spread throughout four original log buildings – The Boathouse, Main Lodge, Eagle’s Nest and Guest House – and remains the only Great Camp open to the public.
The adults-only, all-inclusive resort operates with a signature social atmosphere. Lunch is served communally each afternoon, evening cocktail hours feature uniquely crafted libations, The Great Hall serves as the formal dining space for seated multi-course dinners, and nightly bonfires offer relaxed night-caps. On Wednesday and Saturday evenings, black tie seven-course dinners are served, in accordance with the tradition of elegant Great Camp dining.
Open year-round, The Point offers a variety of seasonal activities, from hiking, fishing, croquet and guided archery to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating and curling. In addition, The Point has a fleet of motorized and non-motorized boating options, with licensed boat drivers on-hand for water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, or leisurely cocktail cruises.
Embodying the 19th-century romantic notion of comfort, style and luxury, The Point offers a timeless escape back to the Gilded Age. The property features an impressive collection of art and antiques, rooms are inviting with stone wood-burning fireplaces, Wi-Fi is limited to promote a fully uninterrupted stay, and staff organize each day with adventures based on guest preferences.
The Point can be reached by car from major northeastern cities, including New York City (6 hours), Boston (5 hours), and Montreal (2.5 hours). The resort is also located 15 minutes away from the Adirondack Regional Airport, with daily Cape Air flights from Boston and New York City.
Nightly rates start at $3,400. For more information, visit https://thepointresort.com/
